Rescue games require players to save hostages, prevent disasters or save characters from hostile entities. While the goal of a rescue game differs, they generally involve puzzle solving and utilization of resources in order to achieve the desired outcome. Adventure and platforming elements are often featured in Rescue games, as the player navigates the environment and completes challenging obstacles in order to move closer to their goal.
