Avoid mines and uncover empty squares. The game is won by finding all safe squares and not triggering mines. You'll see a timer in the upper right-hand corner and the remaining mines. This information will allow you to quickly locate all safe squares.
Each square has a number that indicates how many mines are in the adjacent squares. This information can be used to flag potential mine sites using right-click. Left-click can help you uncover safe squares. To place a question mark on squares that you are unsure of, click right-click twice. Squares without a number are safe.
Logical thinking is key. You can tell if a number 1 touches only one square that it is a mine. You can also use a flag to mark the 1 squares that are connected in a 1-2-1 pattern.
